Better late than never right?! This was a post that was supposed to be up during the first week of September but after some struggling with technology, it's finally up! What's even better is that this post includes my FIRST Youtube video! Ladies and gents, this has been something I've been working on for so long that I'm soo happy I finally have something to show you guys! Now that I've been through the process for quite some time and have gone through the motions of uploading my first vid on Youtube, I'm ready to start posting vids every week! I'm planning on uploading at least 2-3 videos a week as I know sometimes it's better to show you in a video as opposed to just seeing a picture or two! You'll also be able to get to know me on a more personal level :)
My summer favourites range from skincare to lipstick to self tanner! My heart belongs to spring and summer, so these items will continue to stick around in my fall makeup bag.
Origins VitaZing SPF 15: Clears up the redness in my skin and gives me a nice glow. A little goes a long way with this product! The SPF 15 is an added bonus too!
Urban Decay's Naked Palette: Perfect neutrals and smokey eye palette in a compact size that can be taken anywhere with you! Super blendable eyeshadows that can be mixed and matched. If you don't own the Naked Palette, you're really missing out!
Cover FX Cream Foundation: I've been repping this cream foundation ever since this blog started! I love the opacity and creaminess! I can get more or less coverage depending on how hard I tap my finger in the pan. It comes with SPF 30 and even when I've forgotten to put some SPF on, I feel more at ease when I know my foundation contains it!
Benefit They're Real! Mascara: Love this mascara's wand as it doesn't make my lashes clump up. This is definitely an HG mascara for me as I can even apply a few coats of it and it still looks amazing!
YSL #30 Lipstick: There's a reason why high end brands are the best! Having bought my first two YSL lippies this summer, I'm a total convert now! They apply like butter, colour payoff is perfection and the smell is so nice! The packaging is gorgeous too and they have a cute little mirror on the top for lipstick checks!
NARS Sertao Blush: I use this blush to give me a nice sun kissed glow as well as to contour. I would rotate mainly between Laguna, Dallas and this one and I've never been disappointed with any of them! Great on lighter skin tones as well as darker skin tones!
Benefit Dallas Blush/Bronzer: Another great item that I've been using as a bronzer. It's a really nice browny pink shade that I've been able to use all over as well as on the cheeks. It's a must try in my books!
MAC Soft & Gentle MSF: Great MSF for getting that J.Lo glow. It makes you look like you just got a great facial! lol By far my favourite highlighter to use! When I have more time, I'll use a cream/liquid but most days I pull out my Soft & Gentle!
MAC Eyeshadows - All That Glitters & Woodwinked: Soft and sweet colours that everyone should own! They are gorgeous shades that brides love and add to the overall glow for their big days! So, why wouldn't you try these neutral eyeshadows out that enhance the eyes beautifully and are trusted (by brides!) to deliver?!
Sun Labs Ultra Dark Self Tanner: If you're pale like me or if you just prefer added bronzeyness (is that even a word?) to your skin, you HAVE to try this one out! After exfoliating, it's easy to see where you're applying it and goes on smoothly. The smell is like those almond cookies so it's not offensive at all. The drying time is pretty speedy which is a must for me and the end result is a believable tan without the orange that you'll want to flaunt to everyone! If you want to maintain a nice tan into the winter, I recommend trying this one out. You MIGHT be able to find it at Winners (I haven't seen it recently though, but it's worth a look!) and you can definitely buy it online.
I hope you guys enjoyed my first video and have subscribed :):) If you have requests for videos, please send them to email@example.com or Twitter :D
