Benefit They're Real! Mascara Review!

Hey Everyone!

Benefit launched They're Real! Mascara this past summer and from the reviews and claims Benefit was making, as well as the eye-catching ad's for it, this mascara junkie had to check it out!

According to the Sephora website:

"This mascara features an exclusive brush specially designed to maximize the performance of the long-wearing, glossy formula revealing lashes you never knew you had! Staggered bristles grab close to the root, boosting length and volume beyond belief. The precision bristles on the custom-domed tip lift, define, and curl even your tiniest lashes. The end result is luxurious, silky lashes that won't smudge, clump, or dry out."

This lengthener, curler, volumizer, lifter and separator (gotta take a deep breath after that one! lol) basically does it all! According to research results from a consumer panel survey, almost 100% of everyone who had tried this mascara out had success in achieving long lasting length, curl and lift! If this news doesn't convince even the most budget conscious or weary shoppers out there, then I don't know what will! This mascara contains 0.3 oz of product which is quite a bit compared to a lot of mascaras out there!

Of course for my own satisfaction, I had to test this out to see if it lived up to my standards of how I prefer my favourite/most used mascaras to be. I am a mascara junkie and when a certain mascara claims to do a lot as well as positive reviews from bloggers I really admire, that's enough for me to check it out! I'm a huge lover of the L'Oreal Telescopic mascaras. They really lengthen, separate and even curl my lashes to make my eyes look a little brighter and that's why those are my all time favourite mascaras.

When I saw the wand on They're Real! it reminded me a lot of the Telescopic wand, but a little thicker with more bristles. The product seemed to glide onto my lashes seamlessly without all of the clumping that I hate. I prefer having the option to choose how volumized I would like my lashes to be without being left clumpy lashes with only one coat. And this one allows me to do that. I noticed my lashes looked longer and thicker and were curled perfectly in place. As with all mascaras, you need to clear off the top of the brush to prevent getting mascara smudged on the side of your nose but other than that I don't really have anything negative to say! The only thing that I think some people might have a problem with is the price. At $29 a pop, this may not be a viable option for some, but if you're still on the hunt for something good and have tried a lot of the drug store mascaras out there with no luck, you should give this one a chance!

Ever since I bought this HG item, I can't keep my hands off of it! They're Real! Mascara by Benefit is one of those items that no one should over look especially if they're hunting for a great mascara. I bought mine down in the US and even though I saved myself a good chunk of change on it, I would still buy it here because it's worth it THAT much!

  1. I've always wanted to try this ever since it came out. I'm always to hesitant to try a new mascara because so far nothing has compared to my CG Lash Blast Volume (waterproof). Maybe I'll give it a try.

  2. I haven't tried CG Lash Blast Volume. It has a rubber wand, right? Those are my favourite types of mascaras! I really like They're Real.. I'm wearing only one coat in the pic and it does the job quite well with just one

  3. Certainly looks great in your photos! Though the price is a bit much. I'll probably eventually end up trying it though, I have some mascaras to get through first. I'm also really tempted to get that set of mini mascaras from Sephora. Seems like a cheapie way to test out a lot at once!

  4. I haven't seen them around here and that's so sad. All I can say is wow! And that I now want it :)
