Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation Review
This foundation comes in 12 shades and is so flexible in its coverage that it can be applied from light to full for all day wear that won't flake, cake or feel heavy. I picked up Nude - 220, which ended up being a little light for me but I figured I can still use it when I'm lighter skinned in the winter.
Price: $18 CAD at 0.8 fl oz.
The jar itself is pretty heavy so you'll have to be careful not to break it or when packing it with other makeup items. The foundation feels so creamy, rich and a little goes a long way even when you're only getting 0.8 fl oz. Since the foundation is on the thick side, this foundation is ideal to wear at this time of year.
Prior to putting it on, I made sure my skin was nicely moisturized and then applied the foundation with my fingers. If you have dry skin like me, I would highly recommend that you make sure your skin is nicely moisturized before putting this on because it will emphasize drier skin. Then I asked my husband what he thought of it and he replied, "I don't see anything." I had to take a closer look to see if he was just acting like a guy and not really noticing in that way but I, too, noticed that it looked like my skin, only better.
And it barely budged all day. I was afraid of getting makeup transferred on my clothes and hands, because I have a habit of touching my face a lot, and nothing came off. My skin looked very natural but more enhanced in a "She has flawless skin!" kinda way. This stuff really holds on tight to your skin and I only had to touch it up at tad during my lunch break at work. I also like using my Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish powder to top it off and make it look even smoother. The foundation can be seen on me in this post.
This is definitely comparable to the more higher end popular foundations out there. I like it as much as my Make Up For Ever HD foundation that always gives me flawless and long lasting coverage. If you're looking for something that gives high quality results at a more reasonable price, you should go check this one out!
