Hi Glitter Babes!
I am quite the newbie when it comes to Milani products but the main reason for that is because Canada doesn't have a great selection of their stuff available in stores. On a recent trip to the Great Canadian Superstore, I treated myself to a couple pretty nude pink lip glosses by Milani, one being Center Stage from the Glitzy Glamour Gloss line and the other called Designer Label, from their 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss line. Both shades look almost identical but I am a nude lipstick/gloss hoarder and wanted to try out both lines in my preferred shade first to find out how they are compared to my favourite glosses!
Glitzy Glamour Gloss is all about giving your pout that long lasting glittery look with its hyper-perle effects which give that glitzy sparkle without any sticky or tackiness. The gloss has a doe foot applicator. The 3D Glitzy Glamour goes a step beyond that with an applicator brush that applies gloss infused with super shiny polymers and a pearlescent effect which is what gives your lips that full, 3D pout. These lip glosses are not paraben free.
Center Stage: Sheer peachy pink w/ pearlescent sparkles
Designer Label: Sheer nude peach w/ pink & gold sparkles
L-R: Center Stage, Designer Label
The scents were the first thing I noticed about these glosses. Center Stage smells fruity and Designer Label smells like root beer to me. If you're not a fan of really scented glosses then these may be off putting to you. Center Stage added a hint of colour and MAJOR sparkle with a nice glossy look. It felt pretty light and would enhance any lip colour I put underneath it. Designer Label gave me VERY wet-looking lips and tons of sparkle. I was pleasantly surprised to notice that both glosses lasted longer than I thought it would but when they're off your lips, you're left with a glittery mess on your face! There was a particularly gritty feeling to my lips with Center Stage when the gloss dissipated which I was bothered by but found that wearing something underneath prevented my lips from feeling that gritty dryness.
So if you love glittery lip glosses, these will give you more than you're asking for and if you don't, then you will really dislike these! I think after trying both of these out, I would probably buy more from the 3D Glitzy collection because even though it did have some glitter to it, I felt the thick gloss hydrated my lips enough so I didn't feel any gritty/dryness.
Have you tried either of Milani's Glitzy Glamour or 3D Glitzy Glamour glosses? If so, what do you think of them?
Hugs, Kisses & Glitter,
