Hi Glitter Babes!
Bobbi Brown is still relatively new to me since I've only bought one other product of theirs (which can be seen in my review here), so I haven't been able to really garner an opinion on the brand. The Shimmer Bricks are a cult classic and I've always known that when I could get around to it, that would be one of the first things to pick up. Since it's now June and it's beautiful outside, I love wearing makeup that gives me a nice summer glow and the Rose Shimmer Brick is a nice glow-y mix of blush and highlight, which is why I took it home with me!
Instead of one flat colour, Shimmer Bricks give more dimension to the face with their five strips of pure pearl colour. You can also use them on your lids but to avoid looking like you have pink eye, I would suggest that you stick with the top lightest shades. The colours in the pan may look like they'll give you shimmer galore, but as you sweep it on your cheeks, you will notice that you're getting more of a glow and sheen. Rose has great pigmentation but slowly builds on your skin to give you the colour you need. Rose feels luxurious on and makes your made up face, that you took however long to create, look effortless. Light to medium skin tones would compliment it nicely while darker skin tones would benefit from using one of the deeper toned ones, like Nectar or Pink Quartz.

This has become one of my favourite blush/highlighters to use because my skin always seems to look amazing with it on. The price is on the higher end but if you're looking for quality and a great find, then you need to stop by Holt Renfrew or Sephora sometime and check these out. I am already getting anxious to add more Shimmer Bricks to my collection, especially the one in Bronze, because of how well this one has worked for me. I am not the type to unload money on higher end makeup without looking into it first but now I can definitely say that the research and swatching in person before buying made this a worthwhile purchase for me.
