Up here in Canada, we’ve seen some craaazzzy temperatures lately that have even broken records. Even though I was born and raised here, I’m still not a fan of winter, especially ones like this. However, I wanted to make the ‘Polar Vortex’ into something fun by turning it into a makeup look! Bold, icy blues played a huge part in this face of the day, but they warmed up my heart to wear them and this look can do the same for you!
For fierce, pigmented colour, I always turn to my Urban Decay eyeshadows. I layered the brightest wintery blues on my lids and added darker blue tones to my crease. Without making this look completely one dimensional, I added an ombre effect to the eyes by using a cool purple on the inner 1/3 of my lids which graduated into the blues.
Then I went with a fun soft coral on the lips and pink cheeks, then added some bronzer to warm up the rest of my face.

I forgot to mention in my previous post that I spent the most during my trip to Ohio on jewelry and clothes, which is surprising since you know how much I love makeup! I think it’s because I’m trying to look for things I don’t have as much of in my collection, rather than buying whatever looks cute and is priced right. Would you like to see a haul of the clothes and jewelry I bought? I really scored some great deals on clothes since so many stores down there have amazing sales sections! I’m already planning another trip down to the States because of that! 😛
