Review: Smashbox Be Legendary Long-Wear Lip Lacquer in Coral

Liquid lipsticks are becoming a huge thing these days because we’re always looking for new formulas that will make our lip colours last longer so we don’t need to touch it up as much. Smashbox’s new Be Legendary Long-Wear Lip Lacquers give you highly pigmented colour that adjusts into a stain to give you 8 hours of long lasting lip colour!

 Wearing Bordeaux

I was fortunate to try out Bordeaux back in September at the Smashbox photo shoot and found that the dark berry hue really held up its end of the bargain and left me with a beautiful stain that lasted for the rest of the day.

Coral is one of the softer colours in the collection that leaves behind a more natural lip-toned stain. These lacquers are formulated with intense staining pigments for full-on colour saturation that lasts and Vitamin E so your lips stay hydrated while the colour is on. The formula isn’t tacky and won’t dry your lips out either.

My Thoughts: If you’re a fan of soft shades that provide long lasting colour, Coral is a perfect choice. While it doesn’t leave a very bright stain behind, it adds a natural hint of colour to your lips that feels comfortable. The lacquer gloss comes off pretty easily if you have something to eat or drink (due to its non-sticky formula), so I would suggest putting it on after you’ve eaten so the gloss lasts longer. If you’re a fan of bold colour, I would highly recommend this collection in general. I was really impressed by Bordeaux and love how long the colour lasted and I think the darker colours in the Lip Lacquer range are truly the highlights of the collection.
