Hi Glitter Babes!
It’s a lot of fun mixing up lipsticks to create something cool and unique. For a while, it’s been hard to find those perfect lip colour transforming shades until now. Since The Estée Edit by Estée Lauder launched earlier this year, they have been attracting a whole audience of creative makeup lovers who like taking chances and having fun. One of the products they launched to spark a lot of excitement and creativity in makeup lovers like myself was their new Lip Flip Shade Transformers!Coming in just two shades that offer a ton of possibilities, the new Lip Flip Shade Transformers are full-coverage with a satin matte finish that will lighten or deepen any lipstick to create your own custom lipstick shade that no one else will have. Turn Up is a bright yellow lipstick that will lighten and add warmth to any lipstick shade. Turn Down is a black lipstick that will deepen and darken any of your lipsticks. But, of course, you can go bold and wear them alone as well.

Here is an example of what the Lip Transformers can do to a lipstick like a bold red. I paired the Lip Transformers with You’re Welcome, a true matte satin red, also from The Estée Edit by Estée Lauder.
From L-R: You’re Welcome with Turn Up on top, You’re Welcome on its own, You’re Welcome mixed with Turn Down
I think these lipsticks are so much fun to blend and mix with other lipsticks. Turn Down is more tricky to work with, however, because I had to layer the red on top of the black to get even colour and more of the red to show up. Turn Up turned the red lipstick above into more of a coral-red, while Turn Down turned the red into a deeper, more merlot red. I think it’s also a good idea to use a lip brush when mixing these lipsticks, so you don’t get different colours smeared all over them and you can spread it around and mix the colours on your lips easier. On their own, I love how fun and different they look, while also feeling very comfortable and moisturizing. I like that they’re not fully matte and feel creamy, but still have good lasting power while keeping your lips hydrated. If you like playing with lip colours and creating your own shades, I would definitely recommend playing with these in stores and finding out which one (or both) you really like!
