It’s no surprise that rose gold and pink hued products are still going strong. I mean, just tell me you can’t look at palettes like the ABH Modern Renaissance palette or the Urban Decay Naked3 palette and not swoon. It’s impossible. So, obviously, the new COVERGIRL TruNaked Roses eyeshadow palette is no different. However, it is a million times cheaper than the previous mentioned palettes so there’s that..
The Roses eyeshadow palette comes with 8 highly pigmented rose, pink and golden shades, that range from pale ivory to a dark burgundy and come in matte to shimmer formulas, that are universally flattering on everyone. In this palette like the other TruNaked palettes, you get a highlighter shadow, base shadow, crease shadow and liner shadow, which can be mixed and matched to create a day or night look.
Price: $12.99 / Available now at Mass Retailers
Top Row from L-R: matte ivory white, shimmery pale champagne, matte pale blush pink, light shimmery pinkish gold
Bottom Row from L-R: matte light dusty rose, shimmery medium golden brown, shimmery dark brown, shimmery dark burgundy
This palette proves that you don’t need to spend $50+ on an eyeshadow palette that will ultimately give you the same results. These shadows are really buttery and soft, with a bit of fall out, and the only issue I had was with the light blush colour that is a bit sheer and needs to be patted onto a good base in order for you to get its true colour. Other than that, the shadows apply really well and the eyeshadows look as good on your eyes compared to the UD Naked3 palette. This is definitely the perfect palette for anyone who has wanted to get in on the rose palette bandwagon but doesn’t want to spend a lot to experience it. Rosy shadows add a little something more to your eyes compared to neutral browns and nude shades and that’s why I’ve really been loving this trend.
