A few years ago I reviewed the Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser collection and at the time it was one of my favourite hair care lines to use. Well, it’s been recently revamped and I wanted to compare my old thoughts and the details about it to the new version and share which one is my favourite.
The new Damage Eraser Shampoo & Conditioner contain Fruit Active Protein which is designed to make your hair healthier and stronger. They are formulated with Amia Fruit Extract and Phytokeratin (which was in the original formula), the plant based amino acids work to rebuild your hair’s strength from root to tip. It is a paraben-free and vegan formula. The original formula’s main highlight was that it contained Cupuacu Butter, as well as the Phytokeratin and there wasn’t any mention of them being paraben-free or vegan.
Price: $4 ea. / 370 ml (Shampoo) & 354 ml (Conditioner) / Available at Mass Retailers
My Glittery Thoughts – Which is Better?
They’ve put more thought and consideration into the revamped products by making them paraben-free and vegan which I really like. The products still have the same great smell I’ve come to know and love. The shampoo and conditioner are still light weight but very nurturing. I think they make my hair feel amazing afterwards with less frizz and more smoothness. My hair gets really dry on the ends but using these products makes my hair feel soft all over. So, overall I think they made a good product even better! I like that the new version is all about fruit active proteins and not about sneaking harsh ingredients in there. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly vegan shampoo and conditioner to try out that smells amazing and helps repair your hair, I highly recommend!
What do you think of the Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Shampoo & Conditioner? Have you tried the old or new version? If so, which one is your favourite?!
