Bronze Goddess Summer Beauty Must Haves by Avon

I haven’t been self tanning so far this summer but that doesn’t mean that I don’t still love looking like a bronze goddess. Avon continues to step up their game with new and exciting products that are very fun to use and on trend. They have been coming out with a ton of new products that are must haves for anyone looking to get golden and glow up their face and body without the need for self tanner. Here they are!

Bronze Goddess Summer Beauty Must Haves by Avon

True Color Sandy Beach Bronzing Palette / $18: Is there anything more important to looking like a bronze goddess than a gorgeous blush and bronzer palette?! The limited edition Sandy Beach Bronzing Palette comes with two bronzers called Kapari and Solana, and one blush called Flamenco that are all universally flattering shades that can be worn individually or mixed together to create a customized look. Use a light hand if you have pale skin because they go on quite pigmented and I can see them looking even more amazing on medium to darker skin tones.

True Color Dazzle Drops / $15.99: I love, love, love glowy, bronzy drops and this is one of the most exciting launches from Avon. Highlighter drops like the new True Color Dazzle Drops are so versatile and can be worn alone or mixed with anything from primer to foundation or moisturizer to create a customized sun kissed look while also giving your skin a dose of moisture. The dazzle drops contain light reflecting pearls that give you a buildable, dewy finish. Unfortunately, there is only one shade of the dazzle drops but it is a beautiful shade that can be built upon and used as a bronzing highlight for paler skin and as a pale highlighter on darker skin tones.

True Color Bold Lipstick in Fearless Fuchsia / $10.00: Nothing says summer than a hot fuchsia lipstick! The True Color Bold Lipsticks are intensely saturated with colour, that’s true to what you see in the tube, that also has really great lasting power. I love wearing bright, fun colours during the summer because they make my face look more healthy looking and brighter. Plus, right now you can buy any 2 True Color lipsticks for $9.99 and Avon will donate a lipstick to Dress for Success. So why not pick up a couple fun, summery shades and support a great cause?!

How to Rock the 2018 Pantone Colour of the Year Ultra Violet

How to Rock the 2018 Pantone Colour of the Year Ultra Violet

Every year Pantone comes out with their chosen colour of the year that they believe will dominate trends in fashion, beauty and everything in between. Last year’s colour, Greenery, was nice but not a stand out colour to me. Purple is one of my go-to colours when it comes to makeup and I’m so happy it’s been chosen as the colour of the year for 2018. Purple, or Ultra Violet in this case, can be a little intimidating to rock but Avon and mark. have got you covered with ways to make the trend fun and wearable.

How to Rock the 2018 Pantone Colour of the Year Ultra Violet

The first easy way to wear purple is, of course, on your lips! There are two lip products that make this very easy and totally fun. mark. Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Wrath ($10 / 3 g / Available at Avon.ca) is a buildable, creamy, highly pigmented orchid purple that’s very comfortable and lightweight. It comes with a magnetic cap to ensure the tube always stays protected.

And if you’re comfortable with wearing an even brighter and bolder purple than mark.’s Pout Velvet Lip Paint in Fantasy ($12 / 7 ml / Available at Avon.ca) is perfect for you. It’s a true, matte violet purple with pure, vibrant pigments and a built-in primer that guarantees that you get a smooth, even application that locks down for a long wearing finish.

It offers nail protection, strengthens your nails, vivid colour, as well as a base and top coat. It’s also free of formaldehyde, toluene and DBP.

And if you just can’t stomach wearing purple, it’s completely cool to indulge in products that are wrapped in purple! Treat your eyes and lips to Avon Anew Platinum Eye & Lip Cream. It’s a dual-purpose treatment for your eyes and lips that’s formulated with Paxillium Technology that boosts the production of Paxillin (a protein that helps retain the full and expanded shape of your skin cells, helping them stay looking youthful). It comes with a dual-tip precision applicator with one side featuring a round silvery tip that cools and refreshes the eye area and the flat end evenly applies the cream on and around the lips. The cream helps the skin around your eyes look more elastic and smooths wrinkles and lines around your eyes and lips for a more youthful appearance.

It’s easy to implement purple into your look one way or another, so don’t be shy about wearing Ultra Violet and find a way to make it work for you!

Have you rocked any of these Ultra Violet inspired products from Avon? How will you be wearing the 2018 Pantone Colour of the Year?! Share your thoughts below!

Fall 2017 Makeup Trend Worth Trying: Wine Me Up

Fall 2017 Makeup Trend Worth Trying: Wine Me Up

I’m slowly starting to embrace fall trends as summer starts to quickly come to end. Summer is my favourite time of the year but there’s something about the changing colours in leaves, buying the first hot fall drink of the year (NOT a fan of the PSL), wearing more layers during the day and wrapping myself in my comforter as opposed to tossing it off because it’s just too damn hot for that. I especially love seeing where makeup trends are going every season and what the IT shades will be. One of the fall 2017 makeup trends that I think is very much worth trying is all about the colour wine.

I recently received Avon‘s new A Box, a curated box of themed Avon products, that was filled with products in the divine wine shade. It contained 5 products that included the True Color Lipstick in Vamp, a plum toned wine with a satin finish, Big & Daring Volume Mascara in Black, True Color Pro+ Nail Enamel in Midnight Plum, True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Romantic Mauves, and True Color Glimmersticks Eye Liner Diamonds in Sugar Plum, a sparkly plum.

Fall 2017 Makeup Trend Worth Trying: Wine

The True Color Lipstick in Vamp ($6.99 / 3 g / Available now at Avon.ca) is a plummy wine with a satin finish that’s infused with jojoba oil, vitamin E, collagen and lanolin. True Color Lipsticks keep your lips feeling moisturized and conditioned even after you take it off. The True Color Glimmersticks Eye Liner Diamonds in Sugar Plum ($5.00 / 0.28 g / Available now at Avon.ca) is a plum with rosy purple sparkles that defines eyes with creamy smooth colour and just a bit of sparkle in a retractable pencil.

The True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Romantic Mauves ($12.00 / 5 g / Available now at Avon.ca) is a colour coordinated set of saturated shades that help you get a quick, effortless look that’s complimenting on every skin tone. The shadows are crease proof and true to colour, and the compact features a mirror and dual-ended applicator.

The Big & Daring Volume Mascara ($7.99 / 10 ml / Available now at Avon.ca) comes with 24 hours of dynamite volume that’s clump-free, smudge-free and flake-free. It comes with a curved brush with multi-level patented bristles and a plumping complex in an innovative creme-gel formula. The True Color Pro+ Nail Enamel in Midnight Plum ($4.49 / 12 ml / Available now at Avon.ca) is a deep creme plum that features up to 12 days of lasting power with a high shine finish that resists chipping. The formula also increases the strength of your nails by 80% and is free of formaldehyde, toluene and phthalates.

Fall 2017 Makeup Trend Worth Trying: Wine

Wine plays up hazel eyes very well due to its purple tones which is why wine is always a shade I gravitate towards in the fall and winter. It’s dark but not too dark and colourful without being too bold. I can easily wear this colour to work or to an event. Even though these shades are more plum than wine, I still like how deep and dramatic it is to wear. The eyeshadow quad is such a great neutral mauve palette to wear for work because the colours aren’t that dark but the 4th shade in the compact has a bit of sparkle in it that is still easy to blend and wear during the day or night. I’m not the biggest fan of really full and thick wands but the mascara does apply pretty well and builds pretty thick lashes very quickly. The nail polish is a hit for me because it applies really smooth and opaque with a nice creme finish that really shows off how dark the plum is. If you’re looking to wear trendy colours and fabulous formulas, Avon’s got it going on!
