5 Travel-Friendly Makeup & Beauty Products from mark. & Avon

I’m sure a lot of you have your summer vacations planned by now or maybe you’ve got a good idea of where and when you want to go. Whether you’re going for a week long vacation or a long weekend vacation, you need to bring beauty products with you that are both functional and compact so they minimize your luggage load. I recently discovered 5 travel-friendly makeup & beauty products from mark. and Avon that have both of those qualities and will have you organized and looking amazing for your much anticipated trip.

5 Travel-Friendly Makeup & Beauty Products from mark. & AvonHook up your eyes with mark.’s new Eye Contact Hook Up Eyeshadow magnetic palette in Smoke & Mirrors ($18). It comes with nine shades that you can mix and match in a blendable, crease-proof formula. If you love smokier shimmery shades of green, purple and brown, this palette has it but you can also get lighter, day-appropriate eye looks with it too but there’s also a neutral eyeshadow palette available if that’s what you prefer. The palette is very travel friendly because it fits into the palm of your hand and it’s magnetic too so it won’t go anywhere when it’s connected side by side to another Eye Contact palette or mark.’s Cheek Magnet Hook Up Blush.

The Cheek Magnet Hook Up Blush ($18) comes in six sizzling shades that come in a mix of mattes and shimmers that give you a radiant flush that is also buildable. The shade I got to try out is Mauve Forward, a matte mauvy pink that would look good on everyone. It’s neutral enough to compliment a lot of eye looks and perfect for travelling because, like the Eye Contact palette, it fits into the palm of your hand and I like that it’s magnetic as well.

I like bringing lip products with me that do more than just add colour to my lips and the All Butter Now Lip Treat‘s from mark. do exactly that. The lip treat’s help increase your lip moisture by 124% and contain shaea, cocoa and mango seed butters. They come in eight shades that range from sheer to full coverage that all deliver gorgeous colour with a buttery shine. I tried out Bare All which is a semi-sheer beige nude and a colour that will go with pretty much any makeup look because it’s not too light and is more of a natural nude. Being under the sun and in different climates can leave you with nasty, chapped lips and I really like that this does double duty and gives my lips the hydration they need on a regular basis.

5 Travel-Friendly Makeup & Beauty Products from mark. & AvonFrom L-R: Dusk Till Dawn Waterproof Eyeliner in Blackout & Daybreak

When you’re on vacation, you’re bound to have a day (or two) that goes on until the late hours of the night and that’s why having something waterproof with you is essential. The Dusk Till Dawn Waterproof Eyeliner‘s ($10)  from mark. last all day and glide on smoothely and precisely. They come in five shades and provide a velvety finish that’s also smudge-resistant. I got to try out their black and brown pencils called Blackout and Daybreak. They have a very creamy consistency when you first apply them which gives you a quick opportunity to play around with them, but when they dry you’ll need a good waterproof makeup remover and some elbow grease to remove every last bit. This is why bringing at least one waterproof eyeliner with you is a good idea because it will stand up against anything – a swim at the beach, a night of dancing and any and all emotions that come from being on a great trip.

I can’t forget to mention the products you downsize when you go on vacation, like sunscreen, body wash and lotions. Some of the smaller tubes can be really inconvenient and hard to work get product out of. That’s why Avon’s Be Inspired Travel Set ($19.99 / Avon.ca) is the perfect kit for your body care and sunscreen needs because it comes with tubes that are squeezable, so you can get every last ounce. The silicone tubes range with the capacity of holding 37 to 59 ml and are the easiest things I’ve used for creams because it isn’t a struggle to make sure you’re not wasting anything. They come with a clear zip up clear case which you can use to transport the tubes or you can use them to, of course, help you bring more makeup with you!

Holiday Gift Ideas from mark.

Looking for gifts that look luxurious but without the hefty price tag? mark. has got you covered with some amazing holiday gift ideas!

Holiday Gift Ideas from mark. What are the holidays without fun, metallic eyeshadows? Whether you have a friend who loves to make her eyes shine or you fancy yourself an edgy look for the holidays, the new Tough Luxe ($18 / 1.6g ea.) eyeshadow singles will take anyone’s looks to the limit. These shadows are intensely pigmented with colour that won’t crease or smudge, have a beautiful metallic finish, and can be applied dry or wet for an even bigger impact. They come in three shades: blue, light golden tan, and silver. I LOVE these shadows because they feel so creamy and pack on a lot of pigment. They are very vibrant and look amazing wet while also having great staying power.

Holiday Gift Ideas from mark.Surprise your bestie by tucking the Totally Nailed It ($12 / 2.7 ml ea.) onto her tree. It’s the cutest mini lacquer set in an on-trend top-handled box. The set comes with a base coat, top coat and two festive polishes in silver and bronze. This is the perfect gift for anyone who needs a little mani touch up or on-the-go set. The polishes are very easy to apply and layer for a bold, long lasting look.

Holiday Gift Ideas from mark.Rebel Luxe ($38 / 50ml) Eau de Toilette Spray was made for anyone who wants a fragrance that screams opulence and edginess all in one glamorous bottle. It contains a mix of dark plum, baccarat rose and patchouli. This perfume has officially made it into my go-to winter fragrance rotation. It’s very deep and sensual and strong enough to hold up in cold weather without smelling over bearing.

Holiday Gift Ideas from mark. The Glam Plan ($36) is a must buy for anyone on your list who loves beautiful brushes. Decked out inside a glam silver travel canister, the set comes with five essential full-size brushes which include a powder brush, angled blush brush, eyeshadow brush, blending brush and angled eyeliner brush. The brushes are well made and don’t shed, and the handles feel heavy, so they definitely ring true to their luxurious appearance. Plus, I like how the canister is small, yet durable to use for travelling.

mark. All Bundled Up Collection

mark. All Bundled Up Collection

Bundling up in a warm blanket by a fire while it’s chilly outside is something I’m very much looking forward to after a very long and hot summer. It’s still too warm to wrap myself up in layers but I can luckily achieve that feeling with the new All Bundled Up collection from mark.

Cozy and comforting is the name of the game with this collection, which includes body mist, hand cream, body butter and body wash. All of the products contain the warm and inviting scent of crisp sparkling pear, warm vanilla bean, and rich golden amber and I got to try out the body mist and hand cream from the collection. The body mist ($14 ) not only envelops your skin with the warm scent but also makes you feel refreshed and hydrated. The hand cream ($6.00) is a rich and creamy formula that contains vitamins A & E.

mark. All Bundled Up Collection Review

Before & After using the hand cream

My Thoughts:

Anything with vanilla in it is already a winner for me, but I love the warmth the amber adds and the mix of soft pear. This collection definitely smells like a warm fall/winter night and it immediately relaxes me. I like that the body mist smells a little heavier, so it lasts longer on my skin compared to regular vanilla body mists. I’m not a fan of really greasy hand creams but the hand cream is rich yet light enough where I don’t feel like I’m greasing up everything I touch. If you love vanilla scented products that have that added warmth and overall cozy vibe, you will love what this collection has to offer.
