Maskeraide Tell Me 'Pout It Hydrating Lip Mask Review

There used to be just regular face sheet masks on the market but the Asian skincare craze has expanded into providing a mask for pretty much every body part. I wear lip balm all the time but sometimes that just isn’t enough and my lips still look a little dull and dry. And then Maskeraide‘s Tell Me ‘Pout It Hydrating Lip Mask came to my rescue!

Maskeraide Tell Me 'Pout It Hydrating Lip Mask Review

Maskeraide is known for their wide range of amazing sheet masks that cater to every need as well as their spot patches that clear up blemishes, and now they’ve come out with a pack of lip masks. Tell Me ‘Pout It Lip Masks are infused with a highly moisturizing blend of Manuka Honey, Fermented Rose, Grapefruit Oil and an antioxidant Berry Complex. The gel patches instantly give dry, flaky lips a boost of moisture while smoothing and plumping it out, all in a span of 10-15 minutes. These masks are perfect to use as a moisturizing treatment to prime your lips before applying a lip colour. They are also free of parabens, mineral oil, and silicone, to name just a few.

My Glittery Thoughts:

I’m a sheet mask fiend already so when I received the pack of Maskeraide lip masks, I was over the moon. I love trying masks for other body parts that don’t usually get pampered like this. When applying the gel patch, you have to make sure you apply the flat side to your lips because I didn’t at first and was wondering why it wasn’t adhering that well (duh!). Once it was on properly, it started to warm my lips up just slightly. The experience was very easy and comfortable even though I couldn’t talk for 15 minutes.

Since I have small lips, the mask takes up a lot of space around my lips so it was also like a mini mask for that area too, so it obviously will accommodate anyone with bigger, fuller lips. Once I took the mask off, I could immediately feel how soft and supple my lips and the skin around them had become. It definitely made it very easy to apply a matte lipstick afterwards that I would usually apply a lip balm for beforehand. Overall, I think these masks are such a treat for your lips. I apply one every weekend so the pack lasts me a month, which isn’t too bad. If your lips get really dry and you want something more than a lip balm to take care of them, I would definitely buy these masks!

My Thoughts:

These patches came in perfect time because both myself and my husband have been dealing with blemishes, so I used them on both of us. They’re easy to apply and I like that they come in two different sizes that give you options depending on what you need. I’ve tried something similar a long time ago and had problems with them falling off overnight, but I haven’t experienced that with the MaskerAide patches and neither has my hubby. No joke, these patches are a miracle worker. Whether I have a pimple just starting to form or out there in its grand and ugly glory, I can slap on one of these patches before bed and wake up with soft, unblemished skin. The redness disappears and all signs of those ugly spots have gone like nothing happened. If you need your skin in tip top shape for any parties, vacations or any other reason, these travel patches are absolutely worth taking with you. Whether you’ve got something special on the horizon or just want perfectly clear skin where you can proudly use the hashtag #IWokeUpLikeThis on Instagram, then you’d be silly not to have these on you!

12 Days of Christmas: My Pre-Holiday Party Skincare Routine

The look of your skin is just as important, if not more, than the look of your makeup for your upcoming holiday parties. Like myself, I bet you’re ready for all of the final holiday parties coming up.. but is your skin? Here’s my pre-holiday party skincare routine that will take care of that for you so you can feel AND look your best!

12 Days of Christmas: My Pre-Holiday Party Skincare Routine

1. Scrub & Cleanse – Olay Regenerist Luminous Brightening Cream Cleanser (collection reviewed here): I love this cleanser because it has soft exfoliating beads in it that exfoliate your skin and is gentle enough to use daily. I wake up my tired, dull skin with this cleanser and it automatically livens it up and gets it ready for the next step in my routine.

2. Mask – MaskerAide Pre Party Prep (reviewed here): Masks are a must-have in everyone’s skincare collection and are especially necessary for prepping your face for a night out. The Pre Party Prep mask was designed exactly for getting you party-ready as it energizes, brightens and primes your skin, giving it a smooth, velvety finish.

3. Serum – Vichy Idealia Life Serum (reviewed here): Keeping with the trend of creating a flawless, luminous face, the Idealia Life Serum is my favourite because it has a radiance primer in it that has golden and red pearls for creating an ideal skin colour and an amazing glow. It also refines pores and evens out your skin tone which is a bonus too!

4. Face Oil – Josie Maran 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil: I’m pretty obsessed with using facial oils and started using Josie Maran’s 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil not long ago and it’s great for helping your skin maintain moisture, which is exactly what we need at this time of year.

5. Eye Cream – Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream: Don’t forget to brighten up your peepers with a revitalizing eye cream that diminishes the look of dark circles reduces puffiness. Your eyes will look ready to shine with whatever eye makeup you’re going with.

6. Moisturizer – Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream: The Micro Sculpting Cream by Olay Regenerist is one of my favourites to use, especially in the winter because it’s rich in consistency but doesn’t feel heavy and it sinks nicely into the skin. It makes for a great base for your makeup application which is key.

****

If you follow this skincare routine, you will notice that your makeup will go on MUCH better and will LOOK so much better in person and in photos. This routine is much more affordable and longer lasting than going to the spa for a facial which a lot of us just don’t have the time for right now. Don’t skip out on giving your skin a nice holiday at-home treat!
