Slay the Valentine's Day Game: Pink Glitter Makeup Tutorial

Hey Glitter Babes!

I’m SO excited to share that I’m BACK on YouTube again! Last year, I started getting the bug to make my return to YT and have been planning and preparing ever since and the day has finally arrived! I went ahead and changed all of my old videos to private because, aside from being really old, they don’t represent who I am and what I want my channel to be. But, I will soon be filling up my videos list with tons of fun and educational videos on makeup and all things beauty.

So for my first order of YouTube business, I’ve created a pink glittery and glam makeup tutorial. It features a fierce cut crease, extreme winged liner, tons of highlighter, and a glossy red lip. If you want to make a statement this V-Day and impress the socks off that special person in your life, then this is the look to go for!

How to Rock the 2018 Pantone Colour of the Year Ultra Violet

Avon, Review
How to Rock the 2018 Pantone Colour of the Year Ultra Violet

Every year Pantone comes out with their chosen colour of the year that they believe will dominate trends in fashion, beauty and everything in between. Last year’s colour, Greenery, was nice but not a stand out colour to me. Purple is one of my go-to colours when it comes to makeup and I’m so happy it’s been chosen as the colour of the year for 2018. Purple, or Ultra Violet in this case, can be a little intimidating to rock but Avon and mark. have got you covered with ways to make the trend fun and wearable.

How to Rock the 2018 Pantone Colour of the Year Ultra Violet

The first easy way to wear purple is, of course, on your lips! There are two lip products that make this very easy and totally fun. mark. Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Wrath ($10 / 3 g / Available at is a buildable, creamy, highly pigmented orchid purple that’s very comfortable and lightweight. It comes with a magnetic cap to ensure the tube always stays protected.

And if you’re comfortable with wearing an even brighter and bolder purple than mark.’s Pout Velvet Lip Paint in Fantasy ($12 / 7 ml / Available at is perfect for you. It’s a true, matte violet purple with pure, vibrant pigments and a built-in primer that guarantees that you get a smooth, even application that locks down for a long wearing finish.

Why not try a purple polish? Avon’s Gel Finish 7-in-1 Nail Enamel in Purplicious ($5.99 / 12 ml / Available at has a high shine, gel-like finish in a glossy, lilac purple. It offers nail protection, strengthens your nails, vivid colour, as well as a base and top coat. It’s also free of formaldehyde, toluene and DBP.

And if you just can’t stomach wearing purple, it’s completely cool to indulge in products that are wrapped in purple! Treat your eyes and lips to Avon Anew Platinum Eye & Lip Cream. It’s a dual-purpose treatment for your eyes and lips that’s formulated with Paxillium Technology that boosts the production of Paxillin (a protein that helps retain the full and expanded shape of your skin cells, helping them stay looking youthful). It comes with a dual-tip precision applicator with one side featuring a round silvery tip that cools and refreshes the eye area and the flat end evenly applies the cream on and around the lips. The cream helps the skin around your eyes look more elastic and smooths wrinkles and lines around your eyes and lips for a more youthful appearance.

It’s easy to implement purple into your look one way or another, so don’t be shy about wearing Ultra Violet and find a way to make it work for you!

Have you rocked any of these Ultra Violet inspired products from Avon? How will you be wearing the 2018 Pantone Colour of the Year?! Share your thoughts below!

Jeffree Star Platinum Ice Pro Palette Review

Jeffree Star Platinum Ice Pro Palette Review

Jeffree Star may not be the most likeable person out there, but there’s no denying that his makeup line is really stunning and full of beautiful, quality products that come in some of the most gorgeous packaging. For Christmas, my hubby gifted me with most of the Holiday Glitter Collection which included the Platinum Ice Pro Palette. I’ve heard so many great things about his Skin Frosts, so I knew a palette was the way to go in order to really get a taste of what they’re like.

Jeffree Star Platinum Ice Pro Palette Review

The Platinum Ice Skin Frost Pro Palette features 6 cool-toned iridescent pressed highlighters, which includes 1 highlight topper. You can use the shades alone or layered together to give you the perfect wintery glow for your eyes, face and body. The highlighters are very pigmented, can be used wet or dry and a little goes a long way because this palette doesn’t play when it comes to making you shine like the gods. It’s also vegan, cruelty free, paraben free, talc free and gluten free.

Price: $40 US / Available at

The Swatches:

Jeffree Star Platinum Ice Pro Palette Review

Top Row from L-R: Ice Cold – cream white, Glacier – silvery white, Lavender Snow – icy lavender white
Bottom Row from L-R: Alien Ice – pale white green, Pink Chill – pale icy pink, Canary Bling – pale gold

My Glittery Thoughts:

As I mentioned before, these highlighters didn’t come to play! The top row of highlighters are VERY pigmented and a bit flaky but the colour and overall glow goes on smoothly and stunningly. The bottom row are what I would refer to as softer highlighters that don’t give as much POW compared to the top ones but they still give a beautiful, colourful shine to the skin. I would use them for a subtler highlight or added on top of an eyeshadow or a more pigmented highlight to give it a more iridescent finish. So if you’re afraid of wearing a highlighter that’s very bold, you can always use the top row as eyeshadows and use the bottom row as your highlighters. You can even add them to your body when you’re showing some skin and want to make yourself look like a goddess. I will be using this palette for anything and everything and love the effect of both the intense and more subtle highlighters. This palette has definitely convinced me to get another one and I look forward to getting the 24 Karat Pro Palette for my birthday. I’m really looking forward to finding out how blindingly pigmented and glowy those shades are!
