Vichy Idéalia Life Serum Review

Unlike most serums on the market today, Vichy‘s Idéalia Life Serum acts as both a radiance primer and skin transformer that will give you a more even, radiant and fresh complexion for a more ideal skin tone no matter your age or ethnicity.

Idéalia Life Serum targets behavioural aging which is anything having to do with the environment around us and the effects it has on our skin, like stress, pollution and smoke, UV rays and even an unbalanced diet which all reduce the quality of our skin. It’s formulated with LR2412+LHA, an anti-aging correcting complex that helps repair damage to the skin. The serum works on all skin types, even sensitive skin and is also hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and paraben-free.

Vichy Idéalia Life Serum Review

The idea of using a serum that works also as a radiance boosting primer was very intriguing for me. It’s unlike a lot of serums because it has a light creamy texture and you can actually see when you pump a drop of it out that there is a pink and gold pearlescent shine to it. As soon as you put it on, you will notice right off the bat that your skin looks a bit more refreshed and awake. I’ve been using this serum every day for a few weeks now and have noticed that my skin tone definitely looks more even and smooth and I have less problem areas to correct with foundation. It works really nicely with not only other Vichy products, obviously, but other anti-aging treatments because of the way that it will still maintain your skin’s luminosity underneath other products. A pump of the serum is pretty much all you need so I still have a good amount of it left in the bottle. From a price standpoint, it is a pricey serum but if you’re looking to boost your skin’s radiance and over time make it look more even and refined, you will really benefit from this product!

Review: Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Skin Care

Vichy‘s Aqualia Thermal skin care line has been the #1 best selling moisturizer range in 2014 in Canadian drugstores with good reason. Its advanced technology helps distribute water across all areas of the face for all day hydration. Unfortunately, I’ve been hit with a pretty bad case of allergies lately and my skin has been pretty parched because of it. The new Aqualia Thermal Light Cream as well as the Serum landed on my beauty desk recently and I was anxious to find out if through the constant dry patches, dealing with more sensitive than normal skin, as well as from blowing my nose, this skin care line would prove its worth.

The Aqualia Thermal line is able to provide longer lasting hydration by opening the gateways between skin cells in order to ensure water movement from cell to cell since we all know that our skin is mostly made up of water. It is formulated with a special blend of ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, one of the leading skin replumping ingredients out there, Aquabioryl, a patented molecule that creates a protective barrier on the skin’s surface, and Carrageenans, which is extracted from Red Algae, locks in hydration, keeping the water well distributed. It’s also paraben-free and allergy tested (hooray!) so it will work on even the most sensitive of skin.

Review: Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Skin Care

The Aqualia Thermal Light Cream is housed in a pretty blue glass jar with a mirrored top. It has a lightweight creamy, gel texture with a fresh fragrance. It doesn’t feel greasy or sticky and instantly absorbs into the skin, leaving it fresh and more radiant. It can be used morning and evening and is the first light cream in the Dynamic hydration line that that helps spread water to all areas of the face and keeps it there for up to 48hrs.

Review: Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Skin Care
My Thoughts: I’d been using other moisturizing creams and serums prior to using this line and was frustrated with how dry skin patches would come back with a vengeance only an hour or so after application. My allergies have really been giving me hell lately and I’m super happy to say that hours, even the next day, my skin has never looked better with using these products. I really think that the serum is one of the strongest hydrators I’ve ever used and really helps lock in moisture and the light cream is just further icing on the cake. Even though the cream is lighter in texture, due to how my skin looks and feels, I will definitely try to continue using it through the fall and winter seasons. I thought the fragrance might bother me a little but was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t bring on any sneezing whatsoever. I really like how both of them instantly sink into the skin but you can still feel like something’s there without it feeling greasy or sticky.
Major kudos need to be given to Vichy for expanding on the Aqualia Thermal line with these products. They’ve really helped maintain as well as boost my skin’s hydration levels during this aggravating allergy season for me. You really wouldn’t know by looking at me that I’m suffering in silence 😉
